Betting & KYC Glossary for 1xBet App Users in the Philippines

Updated September 2026

App and Installation Terms

Terms you meet when downloading, verifying and updating the 1xBet app on Android, iPhone and Windows.

APK

Android Package Kit, the installation file format for Android apps. The 1xBet Android app is distributed as an APK from the official website instead of Google Play.

Sideloading

Installing an Android app from a file rather than from Google Play. Android asks you to allow "Install unknown apps" for the browser or file manager you use, once.

Package name

The unique technical ID of an Android app. The official 1xBet app uses org.xbet.client1; a different package name means a different app.

Signing certificate

The developer's digital signature on an APK. Updates install over the existing app only when the certificate matches, which blocks tampered copies.

SHA-256 checksum

A 64-character fingerprint calculated from a file's contents. If the checksum of your download matches the published value, the file has not been altered.

PWA (Progressive Web App)

A mobile website saved to the home screen that opens like an installed app. It needs no App Store listing and updates automatically.

App Store region

The country an Apple ID is set to. Some apps are listed only in certain regions, so iPhone users may need to switch region to find the listing.

Lite version

The browser version of the platform. Nothing to install, lower storage use, but usually slower odds updates than the native apps.

Account, KYC and Security Terms

What the verification and protection steps in your account actually mean.

KYC (Know Your Customer)

Identity verification operators run to confirm who holds an account, usually with a government ID and a selfie, typically before withdrawals.

AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

The rules KYC checks exist to satisfy. They govern how deposits and payouts are screened for suspicious activity.

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

A second login step, usually a one-time code, added on top of your password.

OTP (One-Time Password)

A short code sent by SMS or email that is valid for a single login or transaction, often requested for larger withdrawals.

Biometric login

Signing in with a fingerprint or Face ID instead of typing a password, on devices that support it.

Geolocation check

A check of where you are connecting from, used to apply the right country rules to your account.

Deposit limit

A cap you set on how much you can deposit per day, week or month. Lowering a limit takes effect at once; raising it usually has a waiting period.

Self-exclusion

A responsible gaming tool that locks you out of your account for a chosen period or permanently.

Betting and Odds Terms

The core vocabulary of the sportsbook, from bet types to how odds are shown.

Odds

The price of a bet. Odds show how much a winning bet returns and imply how likely the bookmaker thinks the outcome is.

Decimal odds

The default format in the Philippines. Odds of 2.50 return 2.50 for every 1 staked, including the stake.

Odds format

How odds are displayed: decimal, fractional, American, Hong Kong, Indonesian or Malaysian. All formats describe the same price.

Bet slip

The panel where your selections are collected, the stake is entered and the bet is confirmed.

Single bet

A bet on one outcome. It wins or loses on that selection alone.

Accumulator (parlay)

One bet combining several selections. Every selection must win for the bet to pay out, and the odds multiply together.

1X2

The three-way match result market: 1 is a home win, X is a draw, 2 is an away win.

Handicap

A virtual head start or deficit given to a team to even out a mismatched game for betting.

Asian handicap

A handicap in half or quarter goals that removes the draw, so the stake is either won, lost or partly refunded.

Over/Under (Totals)

A bet on whether a match statistic, such as goals or points, finishes above or below a set line.

Live betting (in-play)

Betting on a match that has already started, with odds updating in real time.

Cash Out

Settling a bet before the event ends at the price the app currently offers, to lock in a profit or cut a loss. Partial and Auto Cash Out are variations.

Edit Bet

Adding or removing selections on an open bet slip before it is settled, where the app allows it.

AdvanceBet

An advance on your balance secured by your open bets, letting you place a new bet before earlier ones are settled.

Bonus and Loyalty Terms

Read these before claiming any offer: they decide when bonus money becomes withdrawable.

Welcome bonus

A one-time bonus on your first deposit, usually matched as a percentage up to a maximum amount.

Promo code

A code entered at registration or in the Cashier that unlocks a specific offer or a higher bonus.

Wagering requirement (rollover)

How many times a bonus must be bet before it can be withdrawn, shown as a multiplier such as 5x or 35x.

Free spins (FS)

Slot rounds credited as part of a casino bonus. Winnings from free spins usually carry their own wagering requirement.

Freebet

A bet credit that returns only the winnings, not the stake, if it wins.

Cashback

A partial refund of net losses over a set period, usually tied to loyalty level.

VIP program

A loyalty ladder where regular play unlocks higher levels with better cashback and perks.

Casino Terms

Useful when choosing slots, live tables and instant games in the casino lobby.

RTP (Return to Player)

A game's theoretical long-run payout percentage, published by the studio. It is not a promise for any single session.

Volatility

How a slot pays out: low volatility means frequent small wins, high volatility means rarer but larger wins.

RNG (Random Number Generator)

The software that decides outcomes in digital casino games so that every round is independent.

Live casino

Table games such as baccarat, roulette and blackjack streamed from a studio with a real dealer.

Crash game

An instant game where a multiplier rises until it "crashes"; you must cash out before the crash to win.

Demo mode

Playing a game with virtual credits instead of real money, available on supported titles.

Payment Terms for the Philippines

Terms from the Cashier screen, with the local methods Filipino players use most.

Cashier

The in-app section for deposits and withdrawals. It shows the methods, minimums and processing times available to your account.

E-wallet

A mobile wallet such as GCash or Maya. E-wallets are the most common way to deposit and withdraw in the Philippines.

Account currency

The currency your balance is kept in, PHP for most Filipino players. Paying in the same currency avoids conversion costs.

Minimum deposit

The smallest amount a payment method accepts, for example PHP 100 for GCash and Maya.

Processing time

How long a transaction takes to arrive after it is approved. E-wallets are usually fastest, bank transfers slowest.

USDT (TRC-20)

A US-dollar stablecoin sent over the Tron network. It is popular for crypto deposits because network fees are low.

Network fee

The blockchain fee paid for a crypto transaction. It goes to the network, not to the operator.

Regulation Terms

Who regulates what, in plain words. This is general information, not legal advice.

PAGCOR

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, the government body that regulates gambling operations in the Philippines.

Curaçao gaming license

An international gambling license. 1xBet is operated by Caecus N.V. under Curaçao license OGL/2024/1262/0493.

Offshore operator

A betting company licensed outside the country where its players live. PAGCOR does not license or directly oversee such operators.

Age requirement (21+)

The minimum age to open a gambling account in the Philippines. Operators confirm it during KYC.
